Arms On the Ladder

Majid Ali, M.D.

Arms on the Ladder

Midway on the ladder,

One arm stretched down to me,

From above
To pull me up

Should I falter.

Near the top of the ladder

The second arm extending up

From below me,
To hold me,

Should I stumble.

Will the two arms merge?

Then stay as one within me,

To stretch and extend,

For life, to reach

Others on the ladder of life.
